LEE COUNTY –New technology in addition to the Revention POS system
helps to foil a robbery attempt at Perky's Pizza in Lee County, Florida.
According to reports from the Lee County Sheriff's Office, a gunman entered the
establishment as the employees were closing for the night and pulled a gun. The
gunman walked the workers to the rear of the store and instructed them to get
in the cooler. The suspect then tried unsuccessfully to open the cash drawer.
The suspect was unable to open the drawer thanks to new Point of Sale computer
technology. The pizzeria uses a Point of Sale system designed by Revention POS
which features a fingerprint recognition safety feature.
"The only person who would have access to the drawer at the time was myself.
He would have needed my fingerprint to get into it," said Josh Schultz,
the store manager.
Revention’s goal is to help the business owner run your business from one
reliable resource. Some of Revention POS security features include; finger
print recognition with option to require for maximum security; auto log off upon
order completion and security settings configured by group or employee.
